Excel defaults to name your sheets Sheet1, Sheet2 and Sheet3. You need to change this to describe what is on it. You also can change the color of it, to make it easier to see or group with other tabs.
To Change the Excel Sheet Name
Double click on the Sheet name you want to change and then it will allow you to type it in.
After double clicking, the name becomes filled in, like above. Then type in the new name of it. I will type in “Inventory”
Change the Excel Sheet Color
You can change the color of the sheet to make it stand out or group it with other sheet.
To do this, right click on the Sheet and go to Tab color. Then a new wizard appears with all the colors.
I will change it to Red for this example. Then you will end up with a list of sheets that looks like this:
