You can use a lineup generator or optimizer to help you with your Fanduel NFL Football lineups. Lineup generators are a great tool to help you choose lineups, however you have to know how to use them. Otherwise, you’re just running the same lineups that everyone else is using and you’ll never win. In this article, Ill show you how to best use them for NFL Football in Fanduel.
First, you need to know the rules of the site you are playing on. In this case it is Fanduel NFL football. You will need to draft 9 players which include 1 Qarterback, 2 running backs, 3 wide receivers, a tight end a kicker and a defense. There is no flex spot with Fanduel but there is a kicker, which is not common. The scoring is pretty standard however Fanduel is a half point for receptions. Draftkings is a full point. So it’s something to be aware of. Everything else is pretty standard. Click here to see the full rules and scoring for Fanduel Football.
The best lineup generators for NFL Fanduel
Now that we know the scoring and setup, we need to choose our lineup generator or optimizer. Below are a few of my favorite:
Daily Fantasy Nerd – This is my favorite optimizer because of it’s ease of use and ability to control projections. Generators pick lineups based on projection and salary constraints but Nerd lets you easily move the projections to fit the type of tournament. For example, if playing a 50/50, you want safe players so you can adjust the projections to choose guys with high floors. Daily Fantasy Nerd also has a feature which lets you see who other players like in their lineups. It will give you a quick reference to see who the common plays are for the day. Daily Fantasy Nerd is my highest recommended optimizer.
RotoQL – This generator is one of the top tier ones also and includes tons of features including research options, running multiple lineups and exporting players. This was made by one of the top players in the game Saahil Sud and contains nearly all the features anyone would need in making NFL Lineups.
DFS Winning Lineups – This is a newer lineup generator but still has many of the features you need include very fast lineup generation and quality player projections. This optimizer is also lower priced than the big boys above, so it’s a great option for a newer player with a lower bankroll.
Rotowire – This is a free lineup generator for Fanduel NFL . It will run lineups and has some good features but the usability is not as smooth as the paid sites. But if you really were on a low budget, here is one to start with before moving on to the big boys.
How to use the lineup generator for Fanduel for NFL Football
The best way to use a lineup generator for Fanduel NFL Football is to first do your own research. You can’t just run the generator and expect to win as tons of other people will be doing that. You need some players to set yourself apart. So first off, do your research on your favorite sites. I recommend looking at Rotogrinders and joining some Facebook Groups around Daily fantasy football. If you are using Daily Fantasy Nerd or Rotoql, you can use their research features to help you too.
You will now use this information to adjust the projections. Find the guys you like and move up their projections to make the lineup generator want to choose them. Also, depending on the features of the site, you can “Like” players to get them in more lineups and also Include or Exclude players. If you Include them, that means they will be in all of your lineups.
You should have a core of 3 to 5 players you really like and want to play. Then once you finish adjusting projections, you run the generator and it will complete the lineups for you. Then, if its a premium optimizer, you can export the players and move them right into Fanduel.
One last thing to think about is the type of tournament you play. If it is a head to head or 50/50 you want to find safer players. So you will want to look for guys with high floors. The opposite then goes for tournaments as you want the boom or bust guys who are capable of the huge game. You can use the Stacking feature for tournaments too, as stacking a QB with a WR is a great way to win those.
Finally, keep a lookout for the new opportunity plays. Injuries will force a player into a starting spot when they never had the chance before. So they probably will have a lower salary. So doing your research on them will be extremely useful. The best lineup generators will adjust their projections daily for you.
So in closing, using a lineup generator or optimizer to pick NFL football lineups for Fanduel can give you a great advantage, but they’re only a tool. You need to use them correctly and you could be in line for some great outcomes in your tournaments!
